Cross-country teams compete at Monte

And now, the real season begins!
The Benson-KMS cross-country teams competed at the Montevideo Invitational last Tuesday afternoon, with the boys team placing second behind Marshall, and the girls team running sixth in a meet dominated by Marshall, which had its top five runners place first through fifth.
Only one regular-season meet remains for the Fighting Braves; the Benson Invitational, which was set for Monday at the Benson Golf Course.
After that is the WCC Invitational, Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Melrose; the Section 6A Meet at NLS, Thursday, Oct. 27; and the Minnesota State Boys and Girls Cross-County Meet at St. Olaf College, Saturday, Nov. 5...
