Colton C. Hoberg, 23, of Clara City, Minnesota died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the West Lake Johanna Lutheran Cemetery near Brooten.

Colton Charles Hoberg was born July 19, 1999 in Ortonville, Minnesota, the son of Nicole Neuman and Charles Hoberg. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson and confirmed at West Lake Johanna Lutheran Church near Brooten. He grew up in Benson and Brooten, attended schools in Benson and BBE, and graduated from Kerkhoven Murdock Sunburg High School in 2017.

He enjoyed playing video games, especially Grand Theft Auto with his brother Remington and Guitar Hero with his mother Nicole. Colton loved spending time with his family and could often be found playing Legos with his brother Remington. He took great joy in fixing up his 1984 Ford Mustang and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his ability to light up every room, and his great sense of humor, especially his use of  one-liners. He was called from this life Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

He is survived by his mother Nicole Neuman of Benson; his father and his stepmother Charles and Allie Hoberg; a sister McKayla Neuman of Brooten; a brother Remington of Clara City; his grandparents Robert and Mary Neuman, of Benson, great grandmother Rosemary Chamberlain of Starbuck; uncles: Aaron Neuman of Benson and Abe (Kelly) Neuman of Litchfield; aunts: Patty Wrobleski and Paula Jones, both of Willmar, and Penny Hoberg of Lake Lillian; best friends: Dakota Watkins and Sammy Capps; and several cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer and Gladys Hoberg, and an uncle Jake Neuman.
