Windy and cool weather Saturday didn’t bother the McNellis Clan as they celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Benson. The celebration came a week late this year due to a blizzard warning for the area for Saturday, March 15.

With blizzard conditions expected Saturday, March 15, Patrick’s Pub & Grill made the tough decision of postponed its St. Patrick’s parade and celebration a week. It was a good thing it did. Winds reached nearly 60 mph March 15 with and gusted to over 50 mph frequently during the day. This past Saturday was better, but winds were still gusting to over 30 mph with the temperature at 37 degrees at the 3 p.m. parade time.
