Braves rally for win in section opener

The Benson softball team split its first two games of the Section 3A Softball Tourney last week and was set to play again Saturday at Marshall.
The Braves beat MACCRAY last Tuesday to open up the tourney, 11-8, but were sent into the consolation bracket later in the day with a 2-1 loss to top-seeded Lac qui Parle.
Benson, which is 4-15 overall, was set to play Wabasso, Saturday afternoon at Marshall.  If the Braves lose, they are eliminated, but if they win, they would play again later Saturday. The section tournament continues Tuesday (yesterday) and Thursday (tomorrow) at Marshall.
