Braves fall to Morris Area-CA, 72-56

The Benson boys basketball team fell to 5-16 overall with a 65-46 loss at Morris Area-CA, Friday night. The Braves, who are 3-11 in the WCC with one conference game to go, were also supposed to play at Ortonville last Tuesday night, but that game was cancelled due to weather.
Benson finished the season in seventh place in the WCC. Melrose is 12-1 with one game to go, while BOLD is 10-1 with three league left to play. This week, the Braves close out the regular-season with a home game against KMS, Monday, a game at Lac qui Parle, Tuesday (yesterday), and a game at home, Friday against Redwood Valley.
The Section 3AA opener is set for 7 p.m., Saturday, March 2 and it appears Benson will open up section play at Redwood Valley or Minnewaska Area...
