Braves fall to Bulldogs in 3AA opener

The  Benson boys basketball team fell to Paynesville in the Section 3AA Boys Basketball Tournament opener in Benson, Saturday night, 73-63.

The Braves ended the season with a 15-12 overall record after losing for the second time this season to the Bulldogs, who moved on to face top-seeded Minnewaska Area in the sub-section semifinals, Thursday (tomorrow) in Willmar.

Benson was seeded fourth in the section tourney, while Paynesville was seeded fifth.
