Boys team wins fourth-straight meet

The Benson-KMS cross-country teams hosted a second meet of the fall season, Thursday, at the Benson Golf Club.  Landon Thompson led a one-two-three finish for the boys team, which won its fourth-straight title, while Isabel Wirth was fifth for the girls team, which placed third of three teams.

“The boys varsity team won the meet and ran phenomenally well despite missing our No. 2 guy (Jacob Gareis) due to an injury,” head coach Samantha VanHeuveln said.

The meet last week was also Parents’ Night for the Benson-KMS team, and the parents and athletes were honored prior to the start of the varsity races...
