Benson volleyball team closes out season with win over West Central Area

The Benson volleyball team closed out the 2020 season with a three-game sweep at home over West Central Area, Friday.  The win snapped a seven-match losing streak for the Braves, who ended the season with a 4-8 overall record and 3-6 within the WCC.

The Minnesota State High School League canceled the remainder of the 2020 fall season due to COVID-19 concerns.  That means there will be no section volleyball tournament this season.

In the final WCC volleyball standings, only two teams finished the season with above-.500 records.  Sauk Centre finished as the top team with a 4-1 record, followed by Melrose Area (7-2), BOLD and Minnewaska Area (both 4-5), Morris Area-CA (4-6), Montevideo (2-3) and Benson (3-6)...
