Benson girls basketball team runs into a roadblock called COVID-19

Lead Summary

The Benson girls basketball team had both of its games postponed or canceled last week due to COVID protocol.  The Braves were set to play at Melrose, Thursday, but that game was pushed back to Monday, Feb. 14, while a game at the Target Center, Saturday against ACGC, was canceled.
In addition, this Thursday’s game at Minnewaska Area, scheduled for Thursday (tomorrow) has been pushed back to Friday, Feb. 18, and a game at home against YME, originally scheduled for this Friday, has been postponed until Monday, Jan. 31.
Benson, which is 2-10 overall and 0-4 in the conference, last played Saturday, Jan. 15 at Colman, SD against ORR, and also played Tuesday, Jan. 11 versus BOLD.
However, the next game for the Braves won’t be until Monday, Jan. 31 at home against YME, meaning Benson will have gone almost three weeks with only one game.
It also means the final month of the regular-season is going to be filled with a lot of games.
