Benson boys end regular- season with 15-11 record

The  Benson boys basketball team finished the regular-season with a 15-11 overall record after going 1-2 during the final week of the regular-season.

The Braves beat Hancock last Tuesday night (63-60), but then fell at home to Lac qui Parle, Thursday (62-55), and at Melrose Area, Friday (78-66).

Benson was seeded fourth for the upcoming Section 3AA Tourney and was set to host fifth-seeded Paynesvile at 7 p.m., Saturday in Benson.  The Bulldogs beat the Braves in a close game about a month ago at Paynesville.

If Benson wins that game, it would play again Thursday most likely in Willmar against the winner of top-seeded Minnewaska Area and eighth-seeded Montevideo...
