Bailey, Berreau lead cross-country teams at home meet

The Benson-KMS cross-country teams hosted the Benson Invitational last Monday at the Benson Golf Club.
The Benson-KMS boys placed second of the nine boys’ teams, while the Benson-KMS girls did not field a complete team.
Lac qui Parle/Dawson-Boyd dominated both meets, winning by 44 points (20-64) over Morris Area in the girls meet and by 40 points in the boys competition over Benson-KMS (39-79).
Josh Bailey had the high finish for Benson-KMS, placing sixth overall in the boys’ meet with teammate Jon Tostenson right behind in 11th, while Kaitlyn Berreau was the top finisher for the Benson-KMS girls, placing 40th.
