Avian flu cases are easing in Minnesota

With June here, there is hope among the state’s poultry farmers that the avian influenza pandemic has run its course. In 2015’s outbreak, June 5 saw the last reported infected barn.
May 21 was the last reported case of the avian flu this year, though any new updates weren’t coming out until after the Memorial Day holiday and after the Swift County Monitor-News had gone to press for the week.
