NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
Swift County Parks Drainage & wetlands Office will be accepting bids for tile line repair.  Approximately 1,500 lineal feet of 15” tile and approximately 1,500 lineal feet 12“ tile, two outlets and one connection.  Tile to be installed with a tile plow.

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING WORK SESSION INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 777, Benson, Minnesota Monday, October 7, 2019 - 5:30 p.m. Benson High School Media Center

The meeting was called to order at 5:31 p.m. by Chair Brian Samuelson.  Members present:  James Berens, Paul Carruth, Mary KW Langan, Bill McGeary, Eric Peterson, Brian Samuelson, Gary Williams.
Also present:  Dennis Laumeyer.
Discussion on aligned Board and Superintendent goals.
Discussion on role of board committees and district Policy 213 regarding School Board Committees.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE VII: TRAFFIC CODE, CHAPTER 71: PARKING OFFENSES OF THE BENSON CITY CODE OF 2003

The City of Benson does ordain:
 
Title VII, Chapter 71, is hereby amended to include the following section:
 
§ 71.14  ADDITIONAL RESIDENTIAL PARKING REGULATIONS
 
(A)  Vehicle parking in the area between the front of the residential structure (or any street-facing side of a residential structure on a corner lot) and the street right-of-way line shall only be on a driveway or designated parking area constructed of concrete, asphalt, concrete pavers, brick set in compacted sand or other impervious or semi-impervious material.
(B) No parking or storage shall be allowed in the area between the front of the residential structure and the street right-of-way line on grass, unimproved areas or areas without a hard surface.
(C) No owner or operator shall park a vehicle in a location which blocks a sidewalk.

The City of Benson will hold a public accuracy test of the electronic voting system to be used at the November 5th General Election. The test will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4th, in the Benson City Council Chambers, 1410 Kansas Ave.

LEGAL NOTICE

The Benson Housing and Redevelopment Authority has developed its Annual Agency Plan for the Years 2020-2024, in compliance with the Public Housing Reform Act of 1998. It is available for review from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Community Rooms at Parkview Manor, 300 13th St. N. and Westwood Manor, 2000 Hall Ave. and the Benson Public Library.

Comments on the plan may be submitted to the Benson HRA Office, 300 13th St. N., Benson, MN 56215.

A public hearing concerning this plan will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Parkview Manor. The Benson HRA will hold a Board Meeting concerning the Annual plan following the hearing at Parkview Manor.

SWIFT COUNTY BOARD MINUTES October 1, 2019

Chairman Hendrickx called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM with all members present with the exception of Commissioner Rudningen. Also present: County Administrator Kelsey Baker, Terri Orr, other county employees and members of the public.

Chairman Hendrickx asked if there were any changes or additions to the agenda. There were no changes.  

10-01-19-01 Commissioner E. Pederson moved and Commissioner P. Peterson seconded to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.

Commissioner Rudningen joined the board meeting at 9:01 AM.

The Benson Planning Commission hereby gives notice that a Public Hearing will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 4, 2019, in the Benson City Council Chambers, 1410 Kansas Ave. The hearing is held to take testimony either for or against the issuance of a variance for an existing building at 810 Kansas Avenue.
All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing or submit written comments to the office of the City Manager, 1410 Kansas Ave, Benson, MN 56215, prior to the hearing.
