MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 777,
Benson, Minnesota
Thursday, February 1, 2018 – Noon – District Office

The meeting was called to order at 12:30 p.m. by Chair Chad Payne.  Members present:  Paul Carruth, Tammy Gunlogson, Mary Langan, Bill McGeary, Chad Payne and Gary Williams
Members absent:  Jodi DeJong-Hughes.  Also present:  Dennis Laumeyer, Reed Anfinson
Additions to the Agenda:  Retirement
The board approved the Agenda.

The board approved to spend $696,000 on upgrades to the civic center.

Architect Youngquist and Supt. Laumeyer provided an update on the facility committee meetings.

Request for early retirement under State Statute 122A.48 was received.  No action taken.

Future Meetings:
Regular Meeting, Tuesday, February 20, 5:30 p.m., Senior High Media Center  

The special meeting adjourned at 1:58 p.m.

In the Matter of the Detachment of Certain Real Property from the City of Benson to Torning Township (MBA D-584)

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will commence at 10:00 a.m. on March 16, 2018, in the Council Chambers of Benson City Hall, 1410 Kansas Avenue, Benson, Minnesota 56215, before Administrative Law Judge Eric L. Lipman.
The parties to this proceeding to date are the Petitioners, the City of Benson, and Torning Township.  The Petitioners have requested an order authorizing the detachment of certain real property (Property) from the City of Benson to Torning Township. The hearing will be conducted pursuant to the procedures set out in Minn. R. ch. 6000 (2017) as supplemented by Minn. R. 1400.5010-.8400 (2017).

 The annual meeting and election for Tara Township will be held at the Clontarf Fire Department Hall in Clontarf on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. The business meeting will be from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Polls will be open at 5:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. to elect a clerk for a two year term and a supervisor for a three year term.  Bad weather alternate date will be March 20, 2018.

Notice of Annual Meeting and Election of Officers

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING
AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Camp Lake Township, County of Swift, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.  In case of inclement weather, the election and annual meeting will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018, and if inclement weather also postpones the election and meeting on the third Tuesday, they will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
The Annual Meeting will convene at 4:00 p.m. to conduct all necessary business prescribed by law.
The Election Poll hours will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at which time the voters will elect one supervisor and one clerk at the Camp Lake Township Hall located in Swift Falls.
