Joshua L. Jurek, 42, of Kerkhoven, Minnesota died Saturday, November 27, 2021, at his home in Kerkhoven. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson, and continue Friday, December 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Kerkhoven Lutheran Church in Kerkhoven, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
Joshua L. Jurek was born  July 14, 1979 in Long Beach, California, the son of James Leroy and Ginger Lee (Maxwell) Jurek. He was baptized in 1992 at the Webster Building in Littleton, Colorado.  He grew up in Littleton, Colorado and graduated from Dakota Ridge High School.  He attended Redstone College where he studied to be an airplane mechanic. He lived in Littleton, CO, Benson and Kerkhoven, Minnesota.
June 13, 2015, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Marie Mitteness on the bride’s home farm near Benson. He worked at Transystems in Renville, Minnesota as the daytime manager. He enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting, all things around flying and airplanes as well as playing guitar. He loved spending time with his family. He was called from this life  Saturday morning, November 27, 2021, at his home in Kerkhoven. He attained the age of 42, years, four  months and 13 days.
Joshua is survived by his wife; Kimberly of Kerkhoven, his mother Ginger Jurek of Littleton, Colorado; his children:  Haley Jurek of Littleton, Mason Jurek of Willmar, Joshua Jurek and Anabelle Jurek of Kerkhoven; and several other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father James Jurek; grandparents: Leonard and Betty Jurek, Bill Maxwell, and Ruby Hobbs.
