The Benson boys lost twice last week, dropping the Braves’ overall record to 14-9 heading into the home stretch of the season.  The Braves beat Yellow Medicine East last Monday night at home, 70-66, but then lost at home to Melrose last Tuesday, 68-51, and to Morris Area, Thursday, 80-70.

The two losses gave Benson a 5-6 record in its last 11 games after the Braves were 9-3, Jan. 9.

This week, the Braves close out the regular season with a game at Hancock, Tuesday (yesterday), a home game with Lac qui parle, Thursday (tomorrow), and a game at Melrose, Friday.

During last week’s action, Will Enderson became the seventh boy at BHS to reach 1,000 career points.  He earned his 1,000th point with a three-pointer late in the game against Morris Area and ended the game with a game-high 28 points.

He joins Aaron Lindahl (1,658 points), Daniel Fragodt (1,466), Adam Jensen (1,330), Sam Peterson (1,315), Layton Connelly (1,152), and Jacob Fahl (1,126) in the 1,000-point boys’ list at BHS...
