The Benson wrestling team hopes to turn things around this week during the Section 5A Team Wrestling Tournament and the following weekend at the Section 5A Individual Tourney.

During action over the last week, the Braves went 1-2 at the Blaine quadrangular, Feb. 1; went 0-3 at a quadrangular in Benson last Tuesday, and 1-1 at the WCC Team Tourney, Thursday at Minnewaska Area High School.

Thomas Dineen (33-1) and Adam Zosel (31-2) lead the Braves this season and appear locks as No. 1 seeds in the tourney.

During last week’s action, Adam Zosel became the 14th wrestler at BHS to earn his 100th career win and first since his brother, Aaron, achieved the same honor in 2018.    His third win at the Benson quadrangular last Tuesday gave him his 100th win and he still has next season to go...
