The Benson volleyball team lost a heartbreaking five-game match with Minnewaska Area last Tuesday night, 25-19, 25-27, 25-23, 12-25, 16-14, and the Braves also lost at Morris Area in three games, Thursday, 25-15, 25-10, 25-11.

In the match against the Lakers, the Braves actually won more points, 108-103, but Minnewaska Area was able to pull out key wins in games three and five.
Against Morris Area-CA, things weren’t nearly as good as the Tigers outscored the Braves 75-36.

Benson has a tough week scheduled for this week as the Braves are set to face two of the top three teams in the WCC, beginning with a match at home against Melrose Area, Tuesday (yesterday) and continuing with a match at Sauk Centre, Thursday (tomorrow).

During the match with Melrose, it will also be “Dig Pink Night” and BHS will unveil its new sports scoreboard in the senior high gym....
