Jane Klingle, 78 of Dubuque, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016.  Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 3200 Asbury Rd, where the family will greet friends 1:00 pm till service time Friday at the church.  Burial will be at a later date in Green Field Lutheran Cemetery, Harmony, Minnesota.  Local arrangements are entrusted with Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Rd.

Jane was born August 15, 1937 in Harmony, Minnesota, the daughter of Manley and Victoria (Harstad) DeGreve.  She graduated from Harmony High School in 1954 and then from Luther College in 1957.  Jane married Robert D. “Pete” Klingle on December 27, 1958, she then continued her education at Upper Iowa University, graduating in 1965.  She taught elementary school and then opened Klingle Nursery School in 1965 and owned and operated H&R Block in Benson, Minnesota.  The family relocated to Slayton, Minnesota where she taught Head Start.  Jane was active in the Mental Health Association, where she was volunteer of the year, Minnesota State President and  on the board of directors for the National Mental Health Association.  She was very active in Mrs. Jaycees on the state and national level serving in many leadership roles.  Jane was active in politics and served on multiple community boards over the years.  Jane and her husband Pete always took much pride in their communities and were very active.  She enjoyed reading, quilting and music.

Survivors include her husband, Robert D. “Pete”; children, Tori Anderson of Peosta, Mark (Tami) Klingle of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and Renee (Ben) Pearson of Gig Harbor, Washington; grandchildren, Keely Anderson, Kirsten Anderson, Tom Keyser, Storm Klingle, Tyler Klingle, and Boden Pearson.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; and a son in-law, Stuart Anderson.

A memorial fund has been established in Jane’s memory.
