Last Wednesday morning, Swift County landowners gathered at Track Bar & Grill in Benson to get briefed on the ditch redetermination of benefits process that will get underway earlier in 2023.
Providing details on the process and answering landowner questions was Bryan Murphy of H2Overviwers. In March, the Swift County Board of Commissioners approved hiring H2Overviewers for $728,591 to conduct the redetermination of benefits on all county and judicial ditches.
It was at an October 2021 county board meeting that Drainage Inspector Kody Fossum asked commissioners to consider a redetermination of benefits on all the joint, judicial, and county ditches across the county.
